Obituary

Zela M. Wilson was born January 10, 1906 in Webb City, Missouri to William Thomas Wilson and Elizabeth Wilson. She died December 22, 2008 in Oklahoma City after a brief illness. In 1912, she moved to Oklahoma City with her family. She attended Classen High School and worked at various businesses in Oklahoma City including the Douglas Aircraft Plant in WWII. She managed a shirt laundry until her retirement when she began a home daycare business. She was dearly loved by all who knew her. She had a very positive influence on many people who were a part of her full, rich life. She is survived by a son, Jim and wife Cherrie Hampton, Oklahoma City; granddaughters Angie and her husband Bart Bouse of Woodward, Kim and her husband Jason Arnold, Saginaw, Texas. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Jillian and Ella Bouse, and Nolan Arnold. She is also survived by a special granddaughter Marti Callies of Plano, Texas. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial gifts in Zelas honor to The Childrens Center, 6800 NW 39th Expressway, Bethany, OK 73008. A memorial service will be held at Mercer-Adams Chapel, Friday, December 26, 2:00 p.m.
