WILMA LOUISE SHOLER Wilma Louise Sholer, 93, passed peacefully at home in Oklahoma City, OK on January 21, 2021. Wilma was born to Carl and Celo Privette in Guthrie, Oklahoma on August 20, 1927. After graduating from Guthrie High School in 1945, she joined the Nursing Corp and entered nurses training at the University of Oklahoma College of Nursing, where she graduated in 1948 with a B.A. in Nursing. In 1978, she received her B.S. in Health Education from Oklahoma City University. Her long and successful nursing career included emergency room practice at the OU University Medical Center, private practice pediatrics in Lawton, Oklahoma, and medical claims administration for Travelers Insurance Company in Oklahoma City. She is survived by two children: Teresa Wollard Riggs of Seattle Washington, and David Charles Wollard of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren: Willow Ji Young Parrish Foster, Morgan Elizabeth Parrish, Jason Cole Wollard and Jennifer Wollard Bevin; five great-grandchildren: Colson Wollard, Kaleigh Dyer, Baylee McGirt, Caylen McGirt. and Toree Bevin; and three great-great grandchildren: Khloe Dyer, Kylinn Wollard, and Bowen Dyer. She was preceded in death by her son, Philip Dale Wollard, of Oklahoma City. A woman of strong and faithful dedication to the Lord, she is remembered by her children and grandchildren as a loving teacher and example of how to live. Her family and friends will always remember her as a spark of light shining in a dark world in witness and service as a disciple of Christ. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at the Mercer-Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Bethany, followed by her graveside interment at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond at 12:30 p.m. An all-day viewing is available from 8:00 a.m. 9:00 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2021, at the Bethany Mercer-Adams Funeral Home.
