Wilma Jean Rogers, former resident of Ponca City and Blackwell, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 in OKC, OK. She was 90. Wilma was born on October 6, 1925, to the late Stuart Roy Paisley and the late Annie Piper Paisley in Ponca City, OK. She graduated from Ponca City High School in 1943. She married R.A. Rogers in Ponca City on March 15, 1947. She was proud to be the wife of an Air Force retiree who was also a golf pro for 10 years at Blackwell County Club, and later Ft. Cobb and Texoma State Park Golf Courses, where she too was recognized for her outstanding bookkeeping/managing skills and added to the payroll. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her hobbies were grandchildren, cooking, and playing Skip-Bo with the family. She stayed in contact with lifelong friends through meals at Perkins Restaurant. Wilma is survived by her son, Jerry Rogers and wife Rita of Ponca City; daughters, Connie Alexander and husband Jimmy of Oklahoma City, and Linda Gono of Oklahoma City; grandson, Richard Alexander and wife Jamie of Tulsa and their children, Garrett and Riley; grandson, Jeremy Rogers and wife Lindzy of Oklahoma City and their child, Declan; granddaughter, Cheryl Cobb and her husband Ty of Bethany and their children, Tyler, Jena, Caleb, and Zohie; sister-in-law, Audrey Rogers; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Stuart Paisley and his wife Vincie; sisters, Leora Stewart, Charlotte Edgar, and Juanita Meador. Graveside services will be Saturday, October 8, 12:00 noon, in Resthaven-Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Ponca City, OK.
