Wilma Jo Rodman, known lovingly by her friends and family as Jo or JoMomma died on Friday, October 15, 2010. She was born on July 17, 1932, in Oklahoma City and was a lifetime resident of Oklahoma. The first thing that most people noticed about Jo would be her love for life, she was always quick to smile and make a new friend. She was the first to laugh or to offer a hand in love or support. She retired from Southwestern Bell after decades of service that she enjoyed. Her greatest joy in life was her loving family. She was the daughter of Henry and Agnes Harris. She has a sister Betty Zwiebel and her husband Larry, a brother Charles Harris and his wife Barbara and a younger sister Sandi Harris and her partner Shani McKee. Jos husband Donald (Gene) Rodman passed in 2005. Jo was a devoted daughter, friend, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Jo was loved dearly and will be missed deeply. Her children and grandchildren have been the recipients of Jos wisdom, generosity, kindness, faith, joy and abundant love. She knew the love and devotion of her children Donna Ledbetter, Jayne and Robin Whitaker, Patti Rodman and Christine Cleary. One of Jos favorite ways to spend her time and energy was with her grandchildren Jennifer Belyea, Shawn Langley, Lindsey Langley, Noah Langley or her great granddaughter Samantha Belyea. Jo had so many friends and extended family that will hold her memory dearly, especially Rachel Smith, Syd Leigh and Adam Smith. Jo was a devoted member of the Council Road Baptist Church. She volunteered in the food pantry, the Cube or where she was needed. She lived and loved with the strength of her family, friends and God. A kind soul has passed and we are all left with the flash of her smile in our many treasured memories. Visitation will be held at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service in Bethany. Services to honor Jo will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, October 19, at Council Road Baptist Church, with burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens on Northwest Expressway immediately following services.
