Wilma Lavern Martz, aka Pickle, died peacefully on October 30th, 2020 at her home in Bethany, at the age of 90. Wilma was born on May 14th, 1930 in Mountain View, Oklahoma. She married Donald Howard Martz on June 11th, 1948 and they began their journey together. Wilma was a dedicated homemaker, but through the years she and Don together ran Redi Pop Popcorn Factory and Carpet Bagger Antiques in Bethany, Oklahoma where they had settled and made their home.
Wilma was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and playing in the snow in the winter. She loved the holidays and spending time with her family.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; 11 brothers and sisters; daughter, Sheeri; grandson, Michael; and the love of her life, Don.
She is survived by her daughter, Hope Fleming of the home; son, Don Martz and Gayla of OKC; daughter, Theresa Sharp and husband Cary of Lahoma, OK; grandchildren, Brittany, Anna, Amy, Tina, Sheeri, Robert, Zacary, and Becky; as well as thirteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be Tuesday, November 3rd, 9:00am-9:00pm, with the family present from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Home. Celebration of life will be held Wednesday, November 4th, 2:00pm at Clark Memorial United Methodist Church in OKC with interment in Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Wilma Martz to the American Cancer Society.
