Obituary

William Keith (Bill) Stone passed away March 23, 2020. He was born December 11, 1929 to Blanche and Bluford Stone in Okla. City, OK. He graduated from Putnam City High School in 1948, where he was a member of the wrestling team. On February 7, 1951, Bill was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He had "ROLLING STONE" stenciled on the door of the Army vehicle he was assigned to while in the Army. That was before the "Rolling Stones" became popular in the 1960s. Bill met his future wife, Betty Sue Allen, on a blind date while he was in the Army. Bill and Betty were married February 27, 1954. He attended Oklahoma City University at night under the G.I Bill, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business degree in 1958. Bill and Betty opened their carpet and rug store, Bill Stone Carpets, in 1958 and they worked together in their business for forty years. They shared a loving marriage for 44 years until her death, May 28, 1998. He was preceded in death by his parents, and son-in-law, Russel. He is survived by his three daughters, Vickie Ross of Okla. City, Lisa Mollman and husband, Ryan Lancaster of Mustang, and Debbie Stone of Okla. City; six grandchildren, Zachary Ross, Andrew Ross, Jeremy Ross, Natascha Brown, Breanne Richardson and husband Jeff, Tanner Mollman; and great-grandchildren, Garrett Brown, Ayden Brown, Sawyer Brown, Skyler Brown, Odin Richardson and Spencer Ross. Viewing will be Thursday, March 26, 9am-9pm, at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service. As to Bills request, no services will be held. There will be a private family burial alongside his beloved wife, Betty, at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in memory of his wife, Betty.
