William Franklin Priest alias Wild Bill was born January 9, 1949 in Harrah, to Frank and Norma Priest. He went to be with the Lord last Friday Nov. 19, 2010 at Mercy Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his father Frank. Bill is survived by his mother Norma, step-father Don Burnett, brother and wife Monty and Debbie Priest, step-sisters Donna Maag and Billie Smith, step-brothers Mark and Damon Burnett, and many relatives and lifelong friends. Bill graduated from Harding in 1967 and OU in 1972, where he pledged Phi Delta Theta. He worked for Leeway Trucking and the Oklahoma Tax commission until health issues forced him to retire in 2002. Bill will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his strong love for family and friends and pets, and his huge appetite for his favorite foods. The memorial celebration will be Tuesday, Nov. 23 at 10 a.m. at Newchurch 9201 N. Rockwell. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bills memorial fund at that address.
