William Ray Killgore, 84, passed away May 21, 2020 in Oklahoma City. He was born March 27, 1936 in Chickasha, OK to Arvil William and Ida Lou Ely Killgore. He married Laveda J. Groseclose in Anadarko, OK on November 10, 1956.
Ray was the owner of Rays IGA Superthrift in Edmond, OK. His grandchildren were the light of his life. Ray was an avid OU fan and enjoyed classical music. He will be remembered as a people person who truly never met a stranger.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents and brother, LeRoy. Survivors include his wife, Laveda, of 64 years; children, Kim Chadbourne of OKC, Scott Killgore and wife Brenda of Conway, AR and Robyn Cruson and husband Paul of Frisco, TX; grandchildren, Lachelle Westfahl and husband Micah, Linzee Wilds and husband Caleb, Jacob Cruson, Dillon Killgore, Chris Killgore and wife Samantha and Amber Crawford and husband John; great-grandchildren, Christopher Killgore, Aurora Killgore, Grayson Crawford, Bobbi Jo Killgore and Emma Wilds; sister, Arvilla Merritt of Ninnekah, OK; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be Tuesday, 9am-7pm, with family present from 5-7pm at Mercer-Adams.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, May 27 at Heritage Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Bethany Cemetery.
