William L. Bill Deal, 74, of Bethany, OK, was called home by his Lord on July 4, 2009, at Deaconess Hospital in Okla. City. He was born in Hydro, OK, to Sy and Frances Deal on December 14, 1934. He married his high school sweetheart, Joan Schmidt, on June 27, 1954. He grew up in Clinton, OK and graduated from Clinton High School in 1955 and received his BA degree from Southwestern State College in Weatherford, OK. He was a medical technologist for 32 years working at the OU Health Science Center hospitals retiring in 1994. He was a devoted member of The Baptist Temple Church for 47 years and served his Lord in every part of the church. He was also a tutor in the Whiz Kid program and filled other needs there. Wherever help was needed he was always there to lend a hand. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Barbara Kennedy. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joan, and two daughters, Denise Deal and husband, Victor Flip Guillermo of Moore, OK, and Susan Todd and husband, Andrew of Yukon, OK; two granddaughters, Tiffany and Lindsey Graham and one step granddaughter, Ashley Todd; one step great granddaughter, Breanna. He is also survived by a brother in law, James Kennedy and two nieces, Kathryn Degarmo and husband, Troy, and Christina and husband, Conrad Condreay. Services will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, July 9, 2009, at The Baptist Temple Church, 2433 N. W. 30, Okla. City, with interment at the Memorial Park Cemetery, 13313 N. Kelley Ave, Okla. City. Viewing will be Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday at Mercer-Adams. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Baptist Temple Church.
