William Ralph "Bill" Cooksey, 54, died September 7, 2013. He was born September 1, 1959 in Atchison, Kansas, the son of Willie and Lois (Byrd) Cooksey. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Bill worked as a sheet metal mechanic for Gulfstream Aerospace until they closed in 2002, then he went to work for Tinker Air Force Base. He loved to snow ski and ride his motorcycle, and also enjoyed small airplanes. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Willie George Cooksey, and his grandparents. Survivors include his daughters, Chelsea Fischer and husband Ross, Cassidy Cooksey; son, Chase Cooksey; mother, Lois Ann Cooksey; brother, Kelly Cooksey and wife Cindy; sister, Bobbie Moreland and husband Ted; grandson, Bennett Fischer; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be Thursday, September 12, 1:30pm at Council Road Baptist Church, 2900 N. Council Road, Oklahoma City, OK.
