William Michael Burns of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on June 26th with his wife, Nancy, by his side. William is now reunited with his father "T", mother "Boots", and brother Gary. William was born in California to a military family and traveled the world as he grew up. After graduating from Northwest High School, he joined the military and served his country in Vietnam. After his service was completed, he came back to Oklahoma and began a career in education that spanned over 30 years, teaching Science, History and Computers. It was during this time he met the Love of his Life, Nancy. They were together for over 40 years and had two boys. William had a love for history, woodworking, Legos, and anything crafting. William is survived in death by his wife, Nancy Burns; two sons, Will and Tom Burns; daughter-in-law, Shannon Burns; and his two grandchildren, Ethan and Cameron Burns. Viewing will be Wednesday from 10am to 8pm. Funeral services will be held at Mercer-Adams on Thursday, June 30, at 10am. .
