Willa E. Mc Collum Knight, age 90, went home to be with her heavenly Father on November 13, 2017. She was born August 8, 1927 in Perkins, Oklahoma to Pauline and Neul England. After her fathers death, she was raised by her mother, Pauline and step-father, Emmette Stratton. Willa was primarily raised in Carney, Oklahoma and graduated from high school in Butner, Oklahoma. After graduating from high school, she married James L. Mc Collum on June 21, 1946. Willa and Jim moved to San Antonio, Texas. There, she attended San Antonio Jr. College and graduated from Trinity University. Willa became an elementary teacher in the Harlandale School District at Scheh Elementary in San Antonio, Texas for 41 years. She had a true love for teaching and her students. In addition, she was a member of NEA, TSTA, HTA, and was awarded a lifetime membership in PTA for her many years of service. Willa also participated and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Harlandale Chapter 750 in San Antonio, Texas. Willa remarried to Joseph A. Knight on June 10, 1978 and was married for 10 years before Joe passed away. Willa is survived by her daughter, Mary Mc Collum Porter and Danny L. Mc Collum in Bethany, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Chris Porter of OKC and Ashley M. Porter Myers and Zach Myers in Moore, OK; great-grandchildren, Sophia and Grayson Myers; her sisters, Alma L. Stratton Yates from Commerce, Texas and Deanna J. Stratton Sparks from Nicoma Park, OK. Services will be held Friday, November 17, 10:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel, 3925 N.
