Willa Addie Hawkins, 99, departed this life to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 1, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on May 27, 1925, at home in rural Apache, OK, to William and Mary Dorah (Craig) Bartosovsky. She attended the Broxton school District for 12 years and graduated in the spring of 1944. In 1944 after attending business school in Anadarko, she took a train to Brunswick, Georgia to marry Bernard L. Hawkins who was serving in the Coast Guard. They eventually made their home in Oklahoma City.

Addie was a homemaker and Girl Scout leader while the children were young, later working as a clerk at the Oklahoma Tax Commission, retiring in 1984 after 17 years. Addie also served as administrative assistant in their Hawkins Heating and Air Conditioning Company.

Addie and Bernard enjoyed many trips around the United States and abroad with friends. Addie was an avid bridge player and enjoyed reading.

Family was important and, being from a large family, they enjoyed their fellowship with many family dinners and holiday celebrations.

Addie enjoyed life and was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Preceding her in death were her husband, Bernard Hawkins; parents, William and Dorah Bartosovsky; five brothers, Paul, Dale, William, Bobby and Billy Bartosovsky; seven sisters, Corinne Erman, Lois Young, Lola Marie Bartosovsky, Juanita Bergdorf, Alice Bradley (her twin sister), Anna Muse and Norma Bickford.

She is survived by three children and spouses, Brenda and Larry Burton of Oklahoma City, OK, Anita and Bill Krug of Clermont, FL, and Don Hawkins and Mick Shirron of Oklahoma City, OK; four grandchildren and spouses, Jill and Jimmy Folsom of Newcastle, OK, Scott and Samatha Krug of Clermont, FL, Kelli and Justin Courtney of Springdale, AR, and Cory Krug of Austin, TX; six great-grandchildren, Cooper Krug, Jacob Krug, Jack Courtney, Grant Courtney, Nash Courtney, and James Folsom. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.

Our hearts are sad, but thankful for the years God allowed her presence in our lives. She will be greatly missed by everyone.
