Walter H. Spencer, 92, died Sept. 3, 2016 in Oklahoma City. He was born July 1, 1924 in Pittsburg, KS to E. Harold & Hazel (Wintle) Spencer. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 71 years, Darlene Spencer, and daughter, Hazel Spencer Levites. Walter received a Bachelor of Arts from Kansas City University and a Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering from Carnegie Tech. He was a scholarship student from Westinghouse. Walter had a successful career as an Engineer. He was Chief Industrial Engineer at Black Sivalls and Bryson of OKC. He was the Manufacturing Process Development Engineer at Westinghouse Electric Tech Center, Churchill Boro (Pittsburgh), PA, where he retired after 19 years. He also retired from Kerr McGee Corp. as a Senior Project Engineer, after 20 years. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of India Shrine, and a proud member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Spencer of Rohnert, CA; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Family gathering will be Tuesday, September 20, 5:30-8pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service. Memorial Service will be Thursday, September 22, 1:00pm at Westminster Presbyterian Chapel, Oklahoma City with inurnment in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
