Walter H. Carr passed away August 11, 2011. Walter was born April 4, 1920 in Oklahoma City, OK, the son of William J and Sallie F (Hargis) Carr. He was a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene and was a retired upholsterer. Walter was known for his gifted upholstery and his drive for perfection in his craft. He is preceded in death by his wife Beverly, parents William J and Sallie, and Brothers Lee and Curtis. He leaves behind a brother, James and wife Nell of Houston, TX step-son Jim McCollough and wife Cindy of Yukon, OK; son Larry Carr of Oklahoma City, OK; daughter Tina Cox and husband Billy of Olathe, KS. He also leaves behind grand-children Christina McCollough, Michael McCollough, Tony McCollough, Brandon Carr, Jantina Carr and Tami Cox as well as great-grandchildren Cayden McCollough, Tanner McCollough, Nate McCollough and Haleigh McCollough. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment following at Bethany Cemetery.
