On August 18th, 1980 in Brownsville, Texas, God brought a beautiful life into this world that was destined to change lives. This beautiful man was born to Waley and Josie Espinoza. Walley had three siblings Juan Martinez, Jaime Espinoza, and Alma Espinoza. Walley got sick when he was only 20 years old with a heart condition that was severe enough for the doctors to tell him he only had a year to live. However, through this process Walley believed and trusted God to see him through and blessed him with almost another 11 years. Walley left this world on August 4th, 2011, to be with Jesus, his personal Savior. During those 11 years Walley came to SNU and finished with a bachelors degree in psychology. He married Natalie Freeman in 2009 and in 2010 they were blessed with a beautiful baby, Walley Espinoza IV. Walley worked at Public Strategies as a family support coordinator and most recently at Oasis Counseling as a behavioral health rehabilitation specialist. Walley was a walking miracle and he chose to serve God with all his being. Even though Walley had a severe heart condition, you really would not have ever known it. So even though he is gone for now, we will one day see him again with a new heart. Walley had written a few words about his life and I would like to share them with you:
God is amazing! I am not sure why He continues to be with me. I am glad He is. He has not left my side. I am eternally indebted to Him. I am not sure what to do at times; I am sometimes in a state of confusion. This is probably because I think too much and over analyze situations. Then He helps me lets me know what I am to do. He wants me to be happy in life. Even through the trials, I have gone through; I know He wants me to be happy. How do I manage to stay happy or have a positive attitude It comes back to the idea that He is right here with me. He is a part of me and living in me. This is why I am able to have a positive attitude. Dont get me wrong I do get down occasionally, but I am not there long. He is always there when I look up with His hand stretched out to me. He will not leave me or forsake me. This is an amazing thought and I hold it to be true in my heart. God is indescribable and I know He is with me!
