Virginia Mae Barnard-Watts passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021, after a long illness. She was born June 23, 1918, in Hartford, Kansas to Grace and Elmer Scoggin. After attending Business College at Emporia, Kansas, she moved to Wichita and worked at Boeing Aircraft during World War II. After moving to Oklahoma City, she worked at Cullens and Singer Business Machines. She enjoyed her work and the people with whom she worked. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bethany. Besides her husband Ivan, who passed away in 1990, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin Barnard; her parents; sisters, Maxine Rice, and Irene Hallmark and her husband Williford; brother, Wayne Scroggin and his wife Bessie; and brother-in-law, Ralph Rice. Viewing will be Sunday, September 5, 2021, from 11am-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. .
