Obituary

Virginia Alice Pabst, of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023. She was born in Chicago, IL on March 14, 1929, to Frank and Anna Giovenco. Virginia married Carl Pabst on September 25, 1948 and transferred to OKC with Western Electric in 1960. Virginia was a longtime member of St. Charles Borromeo Church and prayed her rosary daily. She worked for Sears for over 10 years. She was an avid bridge player and loved playing cards with her grandchildren. She was a fantastic bowler and an amazing cook. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Frank Giovenco; Carl, her husband of 53 years; her daughter, JoAnn Kopp; her sister, Eleanor Garde; and her brother, Russell Giovenco. She is survived by her children, Janet Todd and husband Tommy, Jill Miller and husband Jeff, Carl Pabst and wife Kathy; son-in-law, Greg Kopp; her sister, Laura Morreale; and many nieces and nephews. Her grandchildren: Jeff Kopp, Chris Kopp and wife Carrie, Anna Todd, Michael Todd and wife Alexandria, Becky Burns and husband Devin, Jay Miller, and Alex Pabst. She has 3 great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Ryan, and Thorin. The family would like to thank Carol Reynolds, and Traditions Hospice for their excellent care of our mother. We would also like to thank the many people who prayed for her during this time. An evening prayer vigil will be held at 7pm on Thursday, January 26 at Mercer-Adams Funeral Home Chapel. A rosary will take place at 9:30am on Friday, January 27 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 10am.
