Virginia Mary Moran, 80, born on July 7, 1929 in Bronx, NY, walked through the pain into the arms of our Lord on February 19, 2010. She came to OKC in 1978 and retired from 7-Eleven management (#76) in 1992. She lost her courageous and long fought battle to cancer. Virginia enjoyed holiday gatherings, reading, traveling, and being surrounded by family and friends. She was a very generous person that would open her home to anyone. She had a witty sense of humor, which stood with her until her final days. Virginia was an inspiration to all who knew her and will be sorely missed, but never forgotten. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Josephine Burke, as well as 7 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Gerri & Pleas (Moran) Dye of OKC; her son, Vito & Lyndie Vaccaro of Bend, OR; her son, Vinny Vaccaro of OKC; her grandchildren, Amanda & Dean Koleada, Mia & Joseph Vaccaro; her great granddaughter, Abriana Koleada; her 3 sisters, Florence Ellis, Theresa Moser, & Rita Murawski; many loving nieces and nephews; and her dog, Chewy. A prayer service will be held at 7pm, Wed., Feb. 24th, at Mercer Adams, Bethany, OK. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Thurs., Feb. 25th, at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church, with burial at Resurrection Cemetery.
