Virginia "Jo" Kyle went home to be with Jesus on May 17, 2015. Faithful wife to her beloved Noel Kyle, devoted mother to her children (Steve Kyle and Jacki Richards), and "Mamaw" to her five grandchildren (Jason, Nathan and Katie Kyle, Scott Richards and Sara Langum) and nine great-grandchildren. She was loved by all. For 60 years she supported, served and loved her high school sweetheart and godly husband, Noel, until he preceded her in death in 2010. She was an active member, volunteer cook, VBS volunteer and Adult 1 Sunday School director with Noel at Portland Avenue Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Her kids and grandkids will always remember her water-skiing into her 70s and doing so without ever getting her hair wet. She loved taking her family to the lake and playing card games, crocheting, sewing and playing Dominoes. From 1965 to 1985, Jo was the owner of the Kandi-Jac Dress Shop and acted as a friend and fashion-advisor to the countless women who worked with her there. A woman with an infectious laugh and a smile that lit up a room, she was the delight of all who knew her. Whether playing bridge with friends, working in her garden, serving as hostess to the multitudes or being an example and encouragement to her family, her life and boundless energy were spent investing into others. Jo's legacy and influence will continue to live on in and through the lives of the many she touched. The family requests that memorials be made to the International Mission Board of the SBC. Visitation with family present will be from 6-8pm, Tuesday, May 19, at Mercer-Adams Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 20, at 10:00 AM at Mercer-Adams Chapel located at 3925 N. Asbury Ave. in Bethany.
