Verna Evelyn Drouot, 86, of Oklahoma City, went to heaven, October 10, 2014. She was born in a log cabin near the town of Ravia, OK on March 20, 1928, to Dan and Nola Little. Verna graduated from Ravia High School in 1946 as valedictorian. She received a scholarship to Oklahoma Business School in OKC and graduated from the 2 year school in the first 4 weeks of coming to OKC. Verna met her husband, Joe Drouot, in 1948 and they got married in June of 1950. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Joe Earl Little and Paul Thomas Little, and her precious daughter, Diana Frances Griggs. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Joe; daughter, Donna Jo Monk and husband David; grandson, David Drouot (Dru) Monk and wife Courtney; great-granddaughter, Elise Eden Monk; granddaughter, Ginger Michelle Magill; great-granddaughters, Aunna Marie Magill, Jazzlyn Dae Magill; and great-grandson, Brayden Joseph Brown. She loved her family and always wanted the best for every single child, grandchild and great-grandchild. Viewing will be Monday, 9am-9pm, with family present from 6-7pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Tuesday, October 14, 10:00am at Portland Avenue Baptist Church with interment in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
