In Loving Memory of Verla Jean (Hutchens) Landers

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Verla, who left us on April 12, 2025 at the age of 83. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones.

Verla was born on April 24, 1941 in Picher, OK to Byron and Wanda Hutchens. She was the embodiment of love, strength, and resilience. As a devoted wife and mother, she poured her heart into caring for her family, always putting their needs before her own. Her unwavering dedication to her children and grandchildren was evident in everything she did. Her legacy of love, resilience, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.

Verla Landers is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Claude Landers; her two sons, Byron Landers and Chad Landers; her daughter, Rebecca Jones; her grandchildren, Travis Landers, Jad Landers, Lauren Andrews, Emily Landers, Paige Henson, Charity Jones and Dax Jones; as well as several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Byron and Wanda Hutchens; sister, Jannine McCorkle; and son, Rick Landers.

We are comforted by the thought that Verla is now at peace and walking in Heaven on streets of gold. We will forever carry her memory in our hearts.
