Vera Lea Woodward, 95, passed away on March 3, 2024 in Edmond, OK. She was born on May 28, 1928 to James Edmond Holt and Bertha Arnold Holt in Walters, OK. She married Clyde Woodward on June 19, 1954 in Ft. Smith, AR. Vera and Clyde were married for 47 years. Vera retired from Halliburton Oil Company in Oklahoma City, OK as an Administrative Assistant.

Vera enjoyed playing the piano, spending time with family and was part of a ladies' quartet that sang in Ft. Smith area churches in her youth. She was a devoted wife, parent, daughter, and a beloved aunt. Vera was a member of Putnam City Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.

Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Woodward; parents, James and Bertha Holt Muncy; stepfather, Richard Muncy; and her brother, James C. Holt.

She is survived by her daughter, Cecilia Woodward of Edmond, OK; sisters, Sue Pyatt and husband, Bob of Springdale, AR, and Shirley Fowler of Hackett, AR; and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.

Viewing at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service in Bethany, OK will be Thursday, 9am-8pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 8, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment to follow in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
