V. Marie Lindsey 88, of Warr Acres, OK died June 30th, 2011 in OKC. She was born in Milford, TX to Robert and Julia Knott. She was preceded in death by her husband Elbert of 46 years in 1984 and her granddaughter Robin in 2010. She loved her Lord and served him faithfully by teaching children for over 50 years at Putnam City Baptist Church. She worked for Putnam City Schools for 26 years in the cafeteria baking those wonderful Cinnamon rolls and cookies until her retirement in 1988. She is survived by her 5 children, Mary, Charles, Pat and David all of OKC and Ronnie and wife Deanna of Bethany. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She was our "Prayer Warrior" and we are all very thankful for the legacy she leaves behind. Services will be Wednesday, July 6th at Putnam City Baptist Church at 10:00 am. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in OKC. Viewing will be Tuesday, July 5th from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm at Mercer Adams Funeral Service in Bethany. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Putnam City Baptist Church Children's Department.
