Torie Marie Nelson, 56, died on September 15, 2022 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born September 22, 1965, in Oklahoma City to Ronald Eugene Lindsey and Deanna Mae (Gordon) Lindsey. She married Lloyd David Nelson on March 17, 1995. Torie was a devoted employee for the American Cancer Society, and later the Oklahoma Department of Health. She was a loving mother to her two daughters and to any of their friends who needed her. Her grandkids were her greatest joy and she loved spending her weekends cheering them on at their basketball games. She was an OU and Dallas Cowboys fan. Torie was preceded in death by her father and infant daughter, Michaela Nelson. Survivors include husband, David Nelson; daughters, Jessica Stallcup and Shaye Nelson; mother, Deanna Lindsey; brother, Scott Lindsey; sister, Lisa Hull; grandchildren, Jalyssa, Eric, and Ariah. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 22, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Bethany Cemetery. .
