Hopson, Tom (Thomas) P. passed away August 28, 2010 in Oklahoma City. He was born September 27, 1927 in Fort Smith Arkansas. Tom graduated from Crooked Oak High School, and attended the University of Oklahoma and Southwestern Oklahoma State University on a boxing scholarship. He was the owner of a real estate/insurance business and Santa Fe Hotel, was president of the Lions Club in Oklahoma City and El Reno, and a member of the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. Tom was an avid golfer, played tennis, enjoyed horse racing, and loved his card games with the guys at Quail Creek Country Club. He also served in the Navy and Marines during World War II. Tom married JoAnne Farkas on September 18, 1998, and enjoyed thirteen wonderful years of marriage. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Delores. Survivors include his wife, JoAnne; children; Mike Hopson, Becky and Frank Worstine, Monty Golladay, and Denise Myers; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church at 11:00am on Tuesday August 31, 2010. Memorials may be made to Chapel Hill UMC in Thomas name.
