Tom "Lucky" Crofutt of Oklahoma City died Friday, October 31, 2008 at 10:25 a.m. at Mercy Hospital. Tom was born in Apollo, PA in 1941 to Jess and Betty Richard who preceded him in death. He joined the U.S Navy in 1959 and served four years. He married his wife of 43 years, Kay Crofutt, July 3, 1965 in Memphis, TN. He moved to Oklahoma City in 1983, where he continued to raise his two daughters. Tom received his MBA from Southern Methodist University in Texas in 1987. He started as a maintenance worker in the tire industry and 37 years later retired as President of Dayton Tire Company. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, hunter and coin collector, but most of all, he enjoyed spending his time with his grandchildren. Tom is survived by his wife, Kay Crofutt, daughters: Stephanie Snider/husband Scott, Suzanne Labadie/husband Mike; grandchildren: Justin, Kelsie and Jake Snider and Gage and Savannah Labadie; brother: Ron Richard. Tom enjoyed life to the fullest and lived every day as if it were his last. He touched the life of everyone he met and impacted the lives of many. He loved the Lord and lived his life to please Him. Most of all, he loved his family more than life itself. He was the very best husband, father and grandfather and was put on a pedestal by his wife, daughters and grandchildren. The world will not be the same without him and he will be missed dearly by all who loved him. Viewing will be held at Mercer Adams Funeral Home on Monday, November 3, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Service will be held at the Bethany First Church of the Nazarene on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Place of burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery on NW Expressway in Oklahoma City.
