T.J. Bailey, Jr. was born in Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma on October 4, 1922. He left school in the 11th grade in order to help provide for his large family during the depression. T.J. served in an Army tank battalion in Germany during World War II. Mom and Dad raised their family on a farm in Anadarko for a few years and then moved to Oklahoma City. Here, they operated a meat market and grocery for 20 years. After retirement he managed a trailer park until he became ill in June. He passed away in the hospital October 24, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Reba, his parents, and four sisters: Alta, Betty, Nadine and Evelyn. Survivors include his 4 children, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Services will be Tuesday, October 27, 2:00 p.m. at Mercer-Adams Chapel, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery.
