Obituary

Timothy Ewing (Tim) Renshaw, 67, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away at 9:21p.m. on April 9, 2026, at Integris Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Tim was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Robert and Beverly Renshaw on October 29, 1958. He graduated from Putnam City West High School in 1976 and went on to attend Vail Mountain College and Oklahoma City University (OCU).

Tim was an Architectural/Building Designer for over thirty years and a contributing member of Renshaw and Associates, LLC, a family managed and owned building design firm since 1953, located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He genuinely enjoyed the development of the design and collaborating with the various customers. He was responsible for or involved in the design of countless private residences, condominiums, multifamily apartments, and other various commercial projects.

Tim grew up as an avid quail hunter and looked forward to hunting with the immediate family each fall. He loved to shoot pool, and was an ardent bowler, participating in many various pool and bowling leagues and tournaments. He was a devoted Oklahoma Sooner fan in all types of sport venues, but especially football. He would be happy to discuss the new football season's prospects, or chat about the current season or previous or upcoming games. In addition to his lifelong passions, he greatly enjoyed darts, golf and snow skiing in Colorado, especially in Vail.

Last, but not least, Tim really enjoyed and was quite skillful at barbequing /smoking on his green egg for cookouts with family and friends. He made exceptional smoked ham and brisket, not to mention his coleslaw and Caeser salad. Throughout his life, he made so many friends and cared for much of them like family. With his big heart and outgoing, wonderful, fun spirit, he had a laugh that was unmistakable.

Tim was a dedicated and active member of the Freemasons and Shriners for many years. He achieved the rank of Master Mason and later received his 32nd degree in the Scottish Rite. As a proud member of the Shrine, Tim especially enjoyed his involvement with the India Temple Shrine Bowlers and the Ten Pins Parade Team, where he found camaraderie and took great pride in participating.

Tim is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Marion Joyce Renshaw; two sons, Timothy Renshaw II and Anderson Cheater; two grandsons, Christian Butler and Dean Renshaw; older brother, Patrick Renshaw and wife Peggy; niece, Tawna Rivera and husband Gus; his wife's family whom he thought of as his own, Elizabeth Wolftongue, Reneé Buckley, Melissa Denny and Rose Blie, Charles Butler, Larry Butler, Jr., and Allen Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews whom he cared for deeply.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Robert, and Beverly Renshaw; his oldest brother, Michael Renshaw; daughter, Rebecca Butler; paternal grandparents, Jack, and Nona Renshaw; and maternal grandparents, Hal and Anne Ewing.
