Thurman D. (Dave) Davis, Jr. departed this life July 27, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born November 28, 1958 in Murfreesboro, TN to Thurman and Peggy Davis. The family moved to Oklahoma City in 1966. Dave was a graduate of Northwest Classen High School. In 1982, he graduated cum laude from Central State University with a degree in accounting. He was a self-employed certified public accountant. For the past 20 years, most of his work was for the Philip Kierl Accounting Firm. He was dedicated to his work and his co-workers were like family to him. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Dan Davis of St. Louis, MO, Darrell Davis and wife, Margaret, and their children Kevin, Kelly and Chris of Marlow, OK; and several aunts and uncles who reside in TN. A private graveside service for the family and co-workers will be held on Friday, July 30, in Resurrection Cemetery.
