Obituary

Thomas "Tom" Ray Saulters, 82, passed away on hospice services graciously provided in home by Interim Healthcare on May 20, 2024 in Yukon, Oklahoma.

Tom was born to Ruth and Ralph Saulters of Ohio in 1942. His child-rearing and formative years were spent being raised by his wonderful grandparents, Faye and William Ray Saulters.

Upon high school graduation Tom attended The Ohio State University, OSU. Tom then joined The United States Air Force where he admirably served our country. He completed his college studies, graduating with a Bachelor's of Science in Accounting, from his 2nd OSU, known as Oklahoma State University.

For over forty years, Tom was a dedicated businessman and served his community well as a Certified Public Accountant. He was also employed and retired from Oklahoma Gas & Electric Company (OG&E).

He will be remembered by his children and other family for his infectious laugh, sweet dimples on his cheeks and boundaryless love. He found enjoyment in watching faces of grandchildren light up, all while dressed as Santa Claus, during the holiday season. Tom thoroughly enjoyed traveling with MaryJane, cruising from port to port. He was always thinking and dreaming of their next destination together. He had a passion for all sporting events but especially those for Ohio State and Oklahoma State University. One would often hear him shout "Alright!" while cheering on his favorite team. He loved to play card games with MaryJane and friends. He loved that his children and grandchildren enjoyed playing games with him, too.

Tom is survived by his devoted and caring wife, MaryJane (Estay) Saulters of Yukon, Oklahoma; five children, Kimberly Wilson Chavez of Canastota, New York, Janine Waldrep (Mike) of Loveland, Colorado, Thomas Saulters Jr (Maribel) of Naples, Florida, Brian Wilson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Jerry Saulters of Lakewood, Colorado; three step-daughters, Paige Phillips of Addis, Louisiana, Amanda Tessitore (Brian) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Rebekah Coulon (Donnie) of Denham Springs, Louisiana. He was a dedicated grandfather of Jimmy (Yuri), Kristin (Bryce), Kaitlin (Becky), Madison, Jason (Cassondra), Brandon (deceased), Zane (Hannah), Mitchell (Destiny), Koby, Avery, Riley, Colby, Dakota (Kylee), Hunter (Autumn), Austin (Molly), Ariana, Alexis, Ashton, and Abigail. His love was unconditional and showed no boundaries as he loved many great-grandchildren as well.

Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and his late wife, Donna A. Saulters.

Tom's wishes were to be cremated. The family will hold a memorial service on Saturday, June 22, 10:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel.
