Thomas "Tom" Clark
Johnson, Sr.
Aug 6, 1968 — Nov 7, 2023
Thomas "Tom" Johnson Sr. (55) of Oklahoma City passed away peacefully on Nov. 7, 2023 surrounded by family and close friends. After arduously fighting bladder and prostate cancer for over a year, he chose to enter hospice and live out the remainder of his days with loved ones by his side to the very end. While he is no longer with us now, his fiery spirit and trademark bold, brash personality will never be forgotten.
Born on August 6, 1968 to loving parents T.J. and Barbara Johnson. He grew up in Bethany, OK and graduated from Putnam City West High School where he discovered his love of music and entrepreneurial passions.
Tom was a devout Christian, staunchly Republican, and proudly self-proclaimed Southern redneck. A jokester who enjoyed pranking and playfully tormenting others whenever possible, particularly to those he loved. Tom had 3 core passions in life: spending time with family and friends, hunting, and sharing from his endless repertoire of dirty jokes.
He would go on to become President / CEO of numerous small businesses. Working for 30+ years designing and engineering audio, video, and lightning systems around the globe. From the Super Bowl half-time show to rebuilding the neighborhood church, Tom's mission and drive centered on faith and the fearless determination towards creating an unforgettable experience. He was a proud, loving man who believed in making things louder, bigger, and better than before. Tom leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and generosity as he touched the lives of so many.
He is survived by his father, TJ; sister, Sherry; sons, Tommy Jr., Andrew, and wife Laura; nieces; Lynnè, Chelsea, Jaylee, Natalie, Emily, Knightly, and Alyric. His memory lives on through countless others across many families.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 17, 2023 at 11:00AM (CST) at Christ Legacy Church (11101 N Morgan Rd, Yukon, OK 73099). Services will be livestreamed for those unable to attend.
