Thomas Alan Smith lost his battle with cancer March 31, 2010 in OKC. He was born on August 15, 1952 in Pittsburgh, PA to Margaret and Theodore Smith. He served in the US Army Reserves for 27 years and was employed as a Track Shop Manager at C L Boyd where he developed many special friendships with his Boyd family. Tom loved all sports, especially OU Sooner and Pittsburgh Steeler football. He is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife Sue of the home; son Brian Smith, wife Naomi and granddaughter Emerie Bella of OKC; special mothers Ruth Shelton and Jeri Hubbard Smith; brothers Ted Smith and wife, Linda, Gary Smith and David Smith; sister-in-law Patty Sellers and husband Randy; along with several nieces, nephews, many other family members and friends. Viewing will be Saturday 12-9 pm and Sunday 2-5 pm. Family will receive friends from 2-4 pm on Sunday at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, Bethany, OK. Services will be held at Crossings Community Church Monday, April 5, 2010 at 2 pm.
