Obituary

Thomas J. Ray, 78, died August 25, 2015. He was born August 31, 1936 in Talihina, OK to Raymond and Ida Nell (Wilson) Ray. Tom served 3 years in the U.S. Army and worked at Aero-Commander, Rockwell International-Gulfstream for 23 years. He also owned Ray's Westside Tag Agency and Clocks Unlimited. Tom served on the Bethany City Council for 11 years and was a 32nd degree Mason and Shriner. He coached little league football for many years for his son's teams and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. Tom loved being at their lake house at Lake Eufaula. Family and friends were very important to him. Tom was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dottie; sons, Kenny Ray, Keith Ray and wife Cindy; grandson, Corby Ray and wife Sierrah, and their daughter, Corah; granddaughter, Lauren Paull and husband Casey, and their children, McKinley and Maverick; and grandson, Marshall Ray. He was the love of my life, partner and best friend. Visitation with family present will be Saturday, August 29, 4:00-6:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, OK 73008. Memorial service will be Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 2:00pm at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene, 6789 N.W. 39th Expressway, Bethany, OK 73008. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Blue Goose Airplane Restoration Project, PO Box 219, Bethany, OK 73008.
