Obituary

Theodore Daniel (Dan) Hanneman Jr., 83, of Oklahoma City, passed away on April 15, 2019. Dan was born in El Reno, OK on March 23, 1936 to Ted (Sr.) and Ida (Menz) Hanneman. He and his 9 siblings were raised on a farm west of El Reno and graduated from El Reno HS. After serving in the US Army from 1957-1959, Dan returned to Oklahoma and began working for Southwestern Bell Telephone and later retired from AT&T. Dan married R. Ann Perkins on August 31, 1963. Together, they had three children: Theodore III (Teddy), Angela and David. Dan was a loving and hardworking father. He was actively involved in his childrens lives and was a little league baseball coach, a Scoutmaster and an avid ballet supporter. Later in life, his greatest joys came from watching his grandkids participate in baseball, softball, ballet and football. Dan enjoyed fishing, hunting and doing odd handyman projects. He was regularly known for being in his garage and "piddling" for hours. One of his biggest hobbies was having a small cattle ranch for 28 years in western Arkansas. Dan was an active member of St. Patricks Catholic Church in OKC. Dan was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ann (d. Sept. 24,1984); his son, Teddy (who died in infancy); his father, Ted; his mother, Ida; his brothers, Ralph, Lester, Joe, August, and Paul; and by his sisters, Theresa Ninman and Martha Griggs. He is survived by his daughter, Angela Mathews and her husband Tony of Lees Summit, Missouri and by his son, David Hanneman and his wife Michelle of OKC. He is also survived by 3 grandkids: Brandon Hanneman, Courtney Mathews and Daniel Mathews. Dan is also survived by his brother, Earl, and sister, Mary Lou, and by a multitude of loving nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS) Foundation in honor of Dans grandson, Daniel Mathews.
