Obituary

Thelma Lea Boydstun went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 25, 2015. She was the oldest of three children born to Fred and Leta Mae Schindler on September 8, 1930, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Gail Amburn, and her son, Russell Boydstun. Thelma is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joe; her children, Pam (Jack) Nance, grandchildren, Todd (Stacy) Nance and their children, Thatcher and Hart, Cindy Hudspeth and her children, Cooper and Gabriella, Mike (Brenda) Boydstun, grandchildren, Alicia (Randy) Wheeler and their children, Alexis, Isabella and Beckham, Alison (Andy) Reynolds and their children, Maddison, Emme and Drew, Ashley (Adam) Wells and their children Adria, Asiah and Abel, Seth (Lauren) Boydstun, Bob (Barbara) Boydstun, grandchildren, Brian(Chrissy) Boydstun and their son, Breck, Brittany (Matt) Frymire and their children, Wake and Steele, Brad (Kristie) Boydstun and their daughter, Annika, all of Oklahoma City, Steve (Jennifer) Boydstun, grandchildren Colten and Courtney, of Edmond, OK; and her brother, Fred Schindler of North Carolina. Thelma attended Baker University in Kansas and worked for Southwestern Bell in Oklahoma City. She was a gifted Sunday school teacher of youth and was a member of First Baptist Church of Bethany. We wish to thank the staff of Integris Hospice, and our deepest thanks to Melissa and Beverly. They displayed such a heart of love while caring for Thelma. The family also wishes to thank the many Christian friends that faithfully lifted Thelma and Joe up in prayer to the Throne of Grace. Viewing will be Tuesday, 9am-9pm, with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Wednesday, April 29, 10:00am at First Baptist Church of Bethany, OK with burial following in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery. Jesus said, in John 14:6, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man cometh unto the Father, but by me." Without Jesus Christ, it is a hopeless end. With Jesus Christ, it is an endless hope.
