Sylvia Norsworthy died January 30, 2010. She was born January 11, 1931 in Yukon, Oklahoma, the daughter of James and Beatrice (Drewry) Roberts. Sylvia was always a fighter. She overcame her breast cancer; however, she lost the battle with lung cancer in 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Coy. Survivors include her son Robert Corcorran of OKC; a daughter Lynne Crittenden and granddaughters Magon & Fallon Crittenden of Crowley, TX; sisters Mary Loudermilk of Bethany and Pauline Miller of Muskogee, OK; brothers Jay Roberts of Bethany, Ralph Roberts of OKC and Al Roberts of Mead, CO; and many friends at Baptist Retirement Village. Sylvia retired after 30 years of service at SW Bell. She was a very active volunteer for the AT&T Pioneers, American Cancer Society and The Childrens Center in Bethany. Visitation will be from 9am to 9pm Thursday and Friday at Mercer Adams, Bethany, OK with the family present Friday from 6-8pm. Services will be held Saturday, February 6th at 3:00pm at Highland Hills Baptist Church, 7900 DeVore, OKC with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
