Sylvia Jean Cook, 80, received her ultimate healing on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 when she went home to heaven. The daughter of the late Clifford and Jeneva Dennison was born on May 28, 1937 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Her family moved to Oklahoma City where she met and married the late Jesse L. Cook in 1955. They welcomed the light of their lives when daughter Sylvia was born. Soon after they moved to Bethany she was involved in Girl Scouts and other community activities. Family and friends were her passion and delight. Sylvia never met a stranger and would put a smile on everyones face. Even at the end of her life she continued to share the love of God by handing out Cross in My Pocket cards and crosses. She enjoyed camping with her family and could play Uno until the wee hours of the morning. Survived by daughter, Sylvia and husband Craig Roberts of Oklahoma City; granddaughters, Jessica Carter and husband Jeff, Lauren Brown and husband Robert of Oklahoma City; great-grandson, Stanley Brown; and her "honey," Edward Norton.
