Susan Michelle Buchert, 57, went to be with the Lord on September 14, 2023, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born December 16, 1965, in Bartlesville, OK to W.W. "Pete" and Ellen "Marie" (Petricek) Barker. Susan held a bachelor's in psychology from Oklahoma State University and a master's degree in social work from the University of Oklahoma. She was employed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at LifeStance Health and worked at SSM Health St. Anthony for over a decade. Susan was involved in assisting families and clients touched by COVID-19, the OKC bombing, and two Moore tornadoes. She was an advocate in the school system for children with food allergies and started an ALS and stroke group in the community that still exists over 20 years later. Susan enjoyed attending craft fairs, 80's classic rock concerts, road trips, a Shania Twain car sing-along, and never missed an OU Sooner football game. Above all, she stood strong in her Faith, and loved taking care of her family and being a mother. Susan was known for her unconditional love, compassion, desire to support others, contagious laugh, fighting spirit, and corn casserole. She is survived by her daughter, Katie Muter; son, Brady; brother, Paul; and partner, Kevin. Viewing will be Tuesday, 1-8 PM with family present from 5-7 PM at Mercer-Adams. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 20 at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
