Steven went home to be with the Lord on February 19, 2020 after a brief illness. He was born on February 1, 1956 in Yellville, Arkansas to William J. and Dora Dean (Turnipseed) Pogue. He enjoyed going to church at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene. He also enjoyed listening to gospel music, putting together models, and reading and watching anything about history. He joined the U.S. Marines, serving from 1974-76. He worked with his Dad in construction and other numerous jobs. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Timothy Wayne Pogue, his grandparents, William M. and Mattie Pogue, and Felix N. and Vera Mae Turnipseed, and a nephew. Survivors include his brothers, David Pogue of OKC, and Dennis Pogue and wife Kristi of OKC; sisters, Nancy Merkey and husband Robert of OKC, Cathy Swanson and husband Kent of Yukon, Kay Neuenschwander of Bethany, Sharon Alston of OKC, and Joy Sims and husband Darren of OKC; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Viewing will be Sunday, 11am-9pm, with family present from 4-6pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Monday, February 24, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment following in Bethany Cemetery.
