Steven Ray Black, 59, went home to be with the Lord on August 15, 2017. He lived a life full of love and adventure, and will be greatly missed.
Steve took great passion in his job as a carpenter. He worked for Express Ranches for 23 years. His hard working, strong hands brought his creative ideas to life.
Steve enjoyed everything outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. His favorite pastime was to enjoy these activities with family and friends. Steves beautiful farm was always an open door for him to share outdoor experiences with other families.
An unwavering faith in Christ and a humble spirit drew people to Steve.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Paige; children, Jessica Todd and husband Jacob, Tanner Black and wife Elise; his mother, Mary McCorkle and husband Loren; sisters, Denise Blakeney and Kathryn Atkinson. Steves pride and joy were his grandsons, Jaxon and Jase Todd. He was eagerly awaiting his third grandchild in February.
Memorial services will be Thursday, August 17, 2:00pm at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene.
