Obituary

Still wearing his overalls and shoes, Steve left to join his dad and heavenly dad Thursday, January 13. He was born to mom and dad, Arlene and Zeke, in Sidney, Montana April 28, 1956 and passed at age 65. Mostly he grew up in Africa and Iran and he called going home, going back to Ethiopia. He had 2 years of high school in Switzerland and became a very good skier. After graduating, he served in the army in Germany. Steve worked more than 25 years at the League for the Blind, now New View, after an aneurysm and losing his vision. Retired from there after he lost his right hand in an accident. Steve was always responding with "nothing new to complain about" and if he felt the urge he followed with "plenty of the old." He was one of a kind and anybody that met him, loved him. Family includes mom, Arlene; sisters, Lynette Thies and LeAnn Storck, Braman, OK; brother, Monte, College Station, TX; niece and nephew, Jennifer and Alex Carr; and best friend, Bucky. Thank you to Frontier Hospice and North Haven retirement home for all your loving care and assistance in his last days. You all were amazing. Memorials may be made in his name to Frontier Hospice.
