Obituary

Stella Ann (Holford) Napoliello, 80, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 5th. Ann, or "Mimi" as she known by her family, was born February 20, 1933 in Kingston, Oklahoma to Walter Alley and Leona (Purnell) Holford. Ann's father died when she was 6 months old, and her grandparents, Frank and Stella Purnell of Madill, OK, helped her mother with raising her. At the age of 14, she gained a devoted step father when her mother married Everett N. McMurtrey. They relocated to Oklahoma City where Ann graduated from Classen in 1951. In March of 1955, Ann married the love of her life, Philip Joseph Napoliello of Philadelphia, PA, who had been stationed at Tinker AFB. The couple started a family and made their home in Oklahoma City where they were married 53 years until Phil's passing in 2011. "Mimi" was a career homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She spent her entire life dedicating herself to her family's needs. She enjoyed fishing, flower gardening, playing the piano, bargain shopping, and cooking, but most of all she enjoyed her family. Mimi's biggest joy in life was providing for her family, especially her grandkids, which she cherished and adored. Ann's life can be characterized by comments such as "tough as nails", "spunky", "gritty", and "feisty", which is indicative of how she lived up until her last breath, departing this earth on her own feisty terms. Ann is survived by her children, Gina Smith and husband Terry of Edmond, Greg Napoliello and wife Mary of Sachse, TX, Jeff Napoliello and wife Marsha of Oklahoma City, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The family would like to express deep gratitude to the staff at Bellevue Health & Rehabilitation Center and Mercy Hospice who cared for and made Ann's last few years as comfortable as possible. Visitation will be Thursday, August 8, 2013, 6-8 p.m. with family present, at Mercer-Adams, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2013, at Mercer-Adams Chapel, with interment in Resurrection Cemetery. Funeral Service Friday, August 9, 2013 02:00 PM Mercer-Adams Chapel 3925 N. Asbury Bethany, OK 73008
