Sondra Jean Hughes Mount passed on to heaven on May 12, 2022. She will be greatly missed by her family, church family, and many friends. Sondra was born on September 24, 1935 to Clara L. Fountain Hughes and William E. Hughes. She gew up with a loving, extended family around her. She attended OSU and married Thomas Mount in 1963. She was a wife, mother, and a long-time executive secretary at OG&E. When she retired, she served as a volunteer for many years at Deaconess Hospital. She was active in her church, Mayflower Congregational. She loved to read, watch TV and movies, sing, do word searches, and paint. She is survived by her daughter, Beth Mount. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, and her mother and father. Family visitation will be at Mercer-Adams Funeral Home on Monday, May 16, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park, 6001 NW Grand Blvd., Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:30 Tuesday at Mayflower Congregational Church, 3901 N.W. 63rd St. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hearts for Hearing at heartsforhearing.org/donate. .
