Shirley Diane Ford, 66, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, March 17, 2016. She was born to Lloyd and Lorraine Biggs on October 25, 1949 in Oklahoma City, OK. Shirley was a loving wife to her husband, Larry and an amazing mother to their daughter, Angela. She was a devoted caregiver to Larry thru his many years of illness and was by his side every moment until his death in 2006. Shirley provided childcare in her home to many children including David, Kyle and her nephew Bryce. She also taught school for many years. Shirley loved being a grandma. Her family was blessed that she was able to take care of her grandson, Cayden during the day for the first few years of his life. They shared such special times together making beautiful memories. Shirley loved to laugh and was always looking for an excuse to have a party. She loved music and one of her favorite things was singing with her siblings and their mom. She was a faithful member of The Gate Church (formerly known as Cathedral of Praise) for many years. Her church family was so good to her thru her final years. One of her favorite things there was working with the church youth group during Angelas teenage years. Her family wishes to thank Brookdale Assisted Living for their amazing care for her this last year. They truly loved her and it showed in the way they took care of her. She is survived by her daughter, Angela Richards; son-in-law, Scott; three grandchildren, Carson, Avery and Cayden; sister, Donna Adair; brother, Kenny Biggs and wife Suzy; brother-in-law, Walter Starry; mother-in-law, Patsy Ford; brother and sister-in-law, Roger Ford and his wife Sheri, Steve Ford and his wife Terri; and very special nieces, nephews and friends too many to name. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, parents, Lloyd and Lorraine Biggs, father-in-law, Ulys Ford, sister, Linda Starry, and brother-in-law, Paul Adair. The celebration of Shirleys life will be held at 2:00pm, Monday March 21, 2016 at Mercer-Adams Funeral Home in Bethany.
