"Shirley Janette Cope, age 91, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026, in Bethany, Oklahoma.

Born on July 2, 1935, in Slaton, Texas, Shirley was the beloved daughter of M.D. Edwards and Bessie M. Edwards. She graduated from high school and went on to enjoy a successful career in the insurance industry, where she was known for her dedication and professionalism.

Shirley was married to the love of her life, Billy V. Cope. Together they built a life grounded in faith, love, and family. A devoted Christian, Shirley's faith was an important part of her life and guided the kindness and compassion she extended to those around her.

She had a passion for traveling throughout the United States and cherished the many places she visited. More than anything, Shirley treasured spending time with her family, creating lasting memories that will be held close by those who knew and loved her.

Shirley is lovingly remembered by her niece, Dana Rae Edwards-Moore; her nephew, Craig William Moore; and her grand-nephews, Caleb Craig Moore and Joshua Edward Moore. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and quiet strength that will continue to inspire her family for generations to come.

A grave side service will be held at Kansas Cemetery in Piedmont, Oklahoma 73078, on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

Though Shirley has departed this earthly life, her loving spirit, steadfast faith, and cherished memories will remain forever in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her."
