It is with great sadness the family of Sharon Lynn Gammill announces her unexpected passing on Sunday, December 3, 2017. Sharon was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother (Ma Ma), and friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Sharon was born July 24, 1935 to Harold and Mildred Shanks in Sapulpa, OK. She lived in Oklahoma City with her husband, Victor Gammill, who always considered her one classy lady. They were married August 8, 1976 and celebrated 41 years of marriage. Sharon graduated from Oklahoma A & M University in 1958 and recently retired from a remarkable 55-year career at University of OK College of Medicine. She was actively involved in St. Marks as a childrens Sunday School teacher, with her Sunday School class, UMW, church leadership, and so much more. She is survived by her husband; three children, Mark Motley, Mark Gammill, and David Gammill; and five grandchildren, Chris, Bryce, Justin, Blake, and Madison. She was preceded in death by her sons, Daniel and Steve Gammill. Viewing will be Wednesday and Thursday, 10am-9pm with family present Thursday from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service. Memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, December 8th at St. Marks United Methodist Church in Bethany. Her resting place will be Resurrection Cemetery.
