Obituary

Born in 1944 in Oklahoma City, Sharon Lynn Brown was the daughter of Jean and Ruby Williams, and younger sister of Ruby Jean and Sharlene . She married Francis "Smokey" Lombard and had 4 children: twins Kelley and Kim, followed by Kristi, then Kameron (now deceased). Following Kameron's passing, she maintained a close relationship with his wife and children as well as with her 3 girls and their families. Sharon and Smokey divorced in 1980. She married Sherman Brown in 1987 and they maintained a loving relationship until he passed in 1999. Most of her adult years were spent working for the State of Oklahoma. She spent several years in the State Legislature working as an Executive Assistant to Representative Charles Key, followed by 9 years as Executive Assistant to Senator Nathan Dahm. In her spare time, she devoted herself to helping others. She opened her home to numerous people, providing them a place to live when they needed it, including her heart son Ernie Hernandez and wife Bangela. Sharon was a faithful member of Destiny Christian Center until she started attending Charis Bible College at Shekinah Fellowship Church where she earned an Associate Degree in Biblical Studies. Sharon has spent many years in service to her church and its community, spearheading community projects including housing for unwed mothers, Home Openers. Sharon passed away and went to live with her heavenly father on October 20, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Sherman Brown and son Kameron Lombard. She is survived by her two sisters, Ruby Jean Sauls and Sharlene Davis of Oklahoma City and her three daughters Kelley Lynn Lombard, Kimberly Frances Arbuthnot and husband Wayne, and Kristina Jean Earles and husband Brad; and daughter in law Jessica Lombard. Surviving grandchildren are Nick Stroud and wife Jaelee, Kyle McNew and wife Ashleigh, Jayme McNew and husband Will, Kenneth Clark and wife Hope, LaTasha Bell, Jesse Earles, Jeremy Earles, Giavanna Lombard and Valencia Lombard. Surviving great grandchildren are Valin, Piper, Selah, Moriah, Aliyah, Elijah and Christopher.
