Sharon Willene
Adcox
Jul 8, 1966 — Feb 4, 2025
Sharon (Grundy) Adcox, 58, died February 4, 2025 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born July 8, 1966 in Miami, Florida to Stephen and Willene (Baxter) Grundy. She graduated from Yukon High School in 1984 before marrying Donnie Adcox on February 15, 1985. Sharon was the Chief Operating Officer of the Adcox family, managing the many moves from Oklahoma City to Tulsa, Denton, Chicago, Indiana, Owasso, and finally to her home in Piedmont, Oklahoma.
Sharon was very happy being a mother but loved nothing more than spoiling her grandchildren. She was a dedicated partner in DSA Investments with her husband Donnie, while working as an Account Manager for F&M Bank. Sharon could usually be found bragging about her kids' milestones and cheering on her grandchildren, nieces and nephews at their sporting events.
Sharon truly embodied being a living example of a Christian while being a dedicated member of 50th Street Church of Christ. Reading a good book and telling good stories always brought a smile to her face. As a devout Christian, Sharon loved people and strangers quickly became friends. Sharon will be remembered as a follower of Jesus, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and an example to all who had the privilege to know her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Willene. She is survived by her husband, Donnie; her son, Danny and his wife Kayla of Webber City, VA; her daughter, Tegan and her husband Carl, of Yukon; her son, Ethan of Piedmont; grandchildren, Clayton, Aden, Alexis, and Noah; her brother, Tim and his wife Elizabeth, of Oklahoma City, along with multiple nieces, nephews, extended family and church family.
Viewing will be Friday, February 7, 9:00am-8:00pm with family present from 5:00-7:00pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, 3925 N. Asbury Avenue in Bethany, OK. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 8 at Mercer-Adams Chapel.
