Shannon Rebecca Benson, 32, of Oklahoma City, went to be with our Lord, Friday, May 10, 2019. Shannon was born July 15, 1986, in Oklahoma City, OK, where she lived most of her life. She was huge fan of music and played multiple instruments, the guitar, piano and most recently had learned to play the ukulele. She was a huge Oklahoma Sooners football fan; she enjoyed going to the games with her mom and brother. Shannon was a very proud Aunt and loved getting together with family on birthdays and holidays. Her smile could sure brighten up any room she walked in. Most importantly, Shannon knew Jesus. She grew up in a faith filled home. Shannon started attending Life.Church in 2011 and rededicated her life to Christ and went public with her faith by being baptized on October 28, 2018. She displayed the love of Christ by her love and caring for other people. She never just loved. Shannons love ran deep for anyone and everyone who crossed her path. She is survived by her parents Geraldine Benson and Walter L. Benson, brother, Travis Benson and wife Jennifer, niece, Victoria Benson, nephew, Jackson Benson, aunt, Charlene Westrup, uncle, Robert G. Westrup, cousins, Ryan Westrup, Cara Westrup, and Bruce Goff. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Delmar and Clara Mae Haskin, and Walter and Clara Benson.
